The Amal Gamal Ensemble played a live soundtrack performance to the film
'This Was Forever' (dir. Mark Aitken) recently. A special one-off screening of 'This Was Forever' with a live soundtrack performed by Amal Gamal took place at Elefest in London on the 23rd September 2007. Over the past year, polkadotsonraindrops have produced the film in tribute to the plot-holders at the now demolished east London Manor Garden allotments. 'This Was Forever' is about the struggle of a community to hold its own in spite of Olympic development for the 2012 games - suffice to say the 100 year old allotments were bulldozed on the day of the performance...

The Amal Gamal Ensemble performed at the 2007 Schiphorst Avant Garde Festival - as guests of Jean Herve Peron (Faust). Many deep heartfelt thanks to Jean Herve, Carina and everyone who made it such a special occasion.

There will be a live Arkkon concert in Turin, Italy on 25th November 2003,
L.go Montebello 31, opens at 20:00 hours.

A short Arkkon live appearance is scheduled for 27th JULY 2003, at On The Rocks, 25 Kingsland Road, London. Doors 8.30pm - late. Also playing: Gordon Watson, and Leisur::Hive.

David Knight and Karl Blake perform with Left Hand Right Hand on 13th July 2003 at the 23rd Cambridge Film Festival, playing a live soundtrack to the film 'A Page of Madness' (Teinosuke Kinugasa, 1926). A tour of several UK cinemas is being arranged for October 2003.

David Knight and Karl Blake will be playing live with Lydia Lunch at the Fierce Festival in Birmingham (UK) on 7th June 2003.

**LIVE NEWS** There will be a live Arkkon performance on 27th February 2002 at Officine Elettroniche, Docks Dora, via Valprato 68, Turin, ITALY.

DK has been performing at (sort of) monthly evenings of improvised music held at
London's The Horse Hospital as a member of an ensemble. The first performance was on 17th October 2000, consisting of Stephen Thrower, Orlando, Karl Blake, and Gavin Mitchell. For further information please click here.
